The Eurocodes are one of the most significant European, and therefore global, integrations in the construction sector. They have replaced the British Standards and German DIN standards, which were widely used in many countries, and have established an industrial standard (for materials and services) that serves as a model not only for Europe but for the entire world. Today, knowledge of the Eurocodes allows engineers to work in many countries around the world, especially in those with seismic design requirements.
The purpose of this book is to interpret the EC0, EC2, and EC8 regulations, apply them in practice, and determine the order of magnitude of various parameters.
